President's Message

As the newly elected President for the NWAC, I am very proud to be the successor to Beverley Jacobs who has led the association with clear vision since 2004 through to September 2009. Our association has a proud, three decade long, history of dedication at every level of government and community to the restoration of positive social, economic, cultural, and political well-being of Aboriginal women in Canada.

For decades, many women have dedicated their valuable time to achieve the association’s vision of advocating, educating, and promoting the gender equality for our current and future generations. Our work is more important than ever, and as we participate in high profile government and community initiatives we encourage women of all ages to become involved at every level by visiting our website frequently.
