Dear Friends and Supporters,
NWAC, is pleased to announce the 6th annual Vigils.
Each year, concerned citizens and Aboriginal community members gather on October 4th at Parliament Hill and across the country. We gather to honour our lost sisters and their families. We gather to show we are a united front. We gather to shed light on a crisis that affects every Canadian. We gather to pressure all levels of government to act and ACT NOW!
We are proud to show our support and are committed to awareness raising initiatives. This Vigil is one of the ways we can educate the public on the issues, rally our supporters and also compel a government response. We look forward to having you participate in our work first-hand. We know you will find it a rewarding experience.
We invite you, your organization and your community to join with us in solidarity on October 4th 2011. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Over eighty cities hosted their own event last year; we hope to increase this number. Many have already contacted us to confirm their participation again this year, thank you.
If you have not registered your vigil/event, we urge you to do so. We will include your vigil/event in media alerts and link your event to the NWAC website.
Attached is a Registration Form which we ask you to complete and return to
Daryle Gardipy at dgardipy@nwac.ca or fax at 613.722.7687. If you have any questions he can also be reached by telephone at 1.800.461.4043 ext 3031.
We look forward to your involvement and participation!
Yours sincerely,
