National Aboriginal Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy

NWAC has two National Aboriginal Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy projects that both end in March 2010. There is optimism that these projects will be renewed. The Taking Action Team (TAT) drives the delivery of Daughter Spirit program. TAT’s input will help guide NWAC as we seek renewal for suicide prevention and mental health promotion projects beyond 2010. Daughter Spirit is in the midst of field testing varied and diverse mental health promotion activities that are youth driven with the mentorship of Elders.NWAC has two National Aboriginal Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy projects that both end in March 2010.
