The NWAC Youth Council is comprised of one youth representative from each of the NWAC Provincial and Territorial Member Associations (PTMAs). Four members are elected as Youth Directors representing each direction (North, South, East, and West). The four Youth Directors are voting members of the NWAC Board of Directors. One Youth Director is elected as National Youth and she is the spokeswoman on behalf of the NWAC Youth Council.
The NWAC respects the voice of youth and recognizes the critical role youth have in our communities. Youth participate in all activities of the organization and focus on issues affecting Aboriginal young women across Canada through the work of the NWAC Youth Council and the NWAC Youth Department activities.
