Notice of Consent

The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is collaborating with Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) to better serve Indigenous women and gender-diverse people to start or grow businesses across Canada. This program is primarily funded by CED.

In addition to serving as a starting point to help program applicants, the information collected within our Participant Intake Form (PIF) may be used for statistical research and program evaluation purposes. We are asking for your consent to collect, use, and disclose the data from your PIF, as set out in this Consent, to CED.

By completing and submitting your application to NWAC’s Be The Drum program and/or Indigenous Women’s Business Directory, you are agreeing with the terms of program participation as indicated above and authorize the sharing of your Personal Information in your business listing and application for the purposes set out in this Consent. Also note that your business listing only (and not your application) is open to the public, once placed on our website, for the purpose of promoting your business and so that others may contact you for the purposes of doing business with you.

All Personal Information shared will be kept confidential by NWAC and NWAC shall take security measures reasonably necessary for the protection of the information against unauthorized release or disclosure.

You can refuse to consent or withdraw your consent at any time, however, this will mean that you will no longer be able to participate in the Program.

Thank you for choosing to work with us as we work to help you achieve success!
