Government Procurement Workshop: The Proposal Process
(a follow-up event from our November 25th Indiengeous Women Entrepreneurs’ Speaker’s Panel)
Tuesday, December 8th @ 1 PM Eastern via Zoom
On November 25th, BeTheDrum and NACCA hosted an intriguing discussion with five amazing Indigenous Women already doing business with the Government of Canada. They candidly shared their experiences and challenges with the process (if you missed it a video is forthcoming) – and we would like to take this further.
During this follow up workshop, we’ll take a deeper dive into the steps and processes of getting started in doing business with the government and how to navigate your way to new opportunities and revenue streams. We’ll explore in greater detail how the government purchases goods and services from Indigenous suppliers with further discussion on set-asides, standing offers/supply arrangements and subcontracting opportunities — as well as an overview of the proposal process! Attendees will also go through the specific steps of registering their business listing in the Indigenous Business Directory (IBD).
