NWAC Accessibility Survey

The Government of Canada has recognized the need to improve accessibility legislation on a national level. Currently, the government has asked organizations from across Canada to gather ideas about how to improve accessibility which will shape the new Federal Accessibility Legislation.

The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is looking for the unique perspectives of Indigenous women impacted by a disability to create change in the current federal accessibility legislation.  Our objectives are to raise awareness, change attitudes, improve accessibility, and create collaborative and sustained models within the government for people with disabilities.

This survey is for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis women who have a physical or mental disability or who take care of someone with a physical or mental disability. The answers you provide will be used to create a report which will inform future federal legislation for people with disabilities. This report will be submitted to the Government of Canada.
